Puerto Elementary School
Kindergarten Class of school year 2019-2020
had its best practices that would help improve
pupil’s performance in the different domains
in teaching learning process.
It started in setting up comfortable
classroom environment for the pupils at
which enabled them to feel, realize,
embrace and love the school as their
second home.
Each day, pupils are oriented with an

Teacher and pupils worked hand in hand in
setting up classroom rules and policies to be
followed and observed regularly inside the
classroom premises. Pupils were group to do daily

Innovative teaching using

also provided to enable the
preschoolers to be exposed and to
be familiar with the new
technological way of teaching.
After class hours, remedial teaching was
given to those preschoolers who were fun in
listening whiile waiting fo their parents or
“sundo”, that would really help them to develop
good study habit.
Preschoolers were also given leisure time to
play in the play area and given work activity that
would help them develop their social emotional
domain and motor skills.

Parents and teacher worked hand in hand in the making
of “Gulayan sa Paaralan”. The fruits and products of the said
garden were use for the series of feeding activities given to
children to maintain good health and good attendance in
school.
Hand washing,
toothbrushing, checking
of hair, deworming and
supervised recess were
also practice that
enabled preschoolers to
develop self cleanliness
and orderliness or
practice good health
habits.
Earthquake drill also facilitated by the
teacher and preschoolers to develop
preparedness and safety rules if ever earthquake
happens during school days.
Home visitation was also practice, so
that teacher, pupil and parents would have
full cooperation in dealing with problems
encountered in school confidentially.

also monitored
regularly through
presenting records to
the parents. Each
pupils achievements
should be recognized
regularly through
periodical recognition.
