MOMENTUM OF CHANGE
Momentum of change is the right moment or time, in this case,
things that are acceptable to all groups or lines within the company
(organization) that are common grounds as the right moment or time
to make modifications for the better. (change).
TYPE OF MOMENTUM
CHANGE
According to Beer & Nohria (2000), the momentum of change is interpreted in
terms of Theory E and Theory O:
 Theory E orients changes based on economic values (profitability) and this is
connoted with change management.
 Theory O is a change based on the capability of the company (organization) or
is more concerned with improving processes that connotes organizational
development.
HOW TO MAINTAIN / MAINTAIN THE CONTINUITY OF
CHANGES
According to Kurt Lewin, there are several stages in maintaining/maintaining the continuity of change:

1. Unfreezing (recognizing the need for change), this step is important to create readiness for change among members of the organization
2. Moving ( trying to create new conditions). This stage involves the intervention of various parties in the situation to change it. Organization
Development includes a variety of interventions to improve the organization.
3. Refreezing (combining, creating, and maintaining changes). This last step is a permanent change as part of organizational functionsg is a process of
stabilizing and stabilizing the changes that occur.
COMPETENCE IN CHANGE
According to Robbin competence is an expertise or capacity of each person to
do tasks in a job, in which ability is based on physical factors and intellectual
factors.
COMPETENCY ELEMENT
According to Spencer, there are several components or elements that make up a competency,
including:

1. Motives, are consistent or desired by someone who will then direct, guide and choose one
particular behavior for a number of actions or goals.
2. Personal character (traits), are physical characteristics and reactions or responses that are
carried out consistently to a situation or information.
3. Self-concept, is a set of attitudes, value systems or self-image that a person has.
4. Knowledge, is information that a person has on a certain specific aspect area.
5. Skills, is the ability to do a series of specific physical and mental tasks.
