 Overview
 The information provided here describes the process involved in installing cPanel DNSOnly on a server.
It needs to be specified here that cPanel DNSOnly is not supported by the version 98 of cPanel & WHM
for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. This version is an experimental software. Hence, it isn’t recommended for use in
production environments.

 The cPanel DNSOnly software enables a user to run a dedicated physical nameserver. This can be used
along with other servers for the creation of a DNS cluster. cPanel DNSOnly is cPanel & WHM’s
simplest version. It merely replicates DNS zones to a user’s other servers. You need to follow the
required instructions in order to install cPanel DNSOnly.

 cPanel
 cPanel refers to an online Linux-based control panel for simplifying website and server management. It
enables any user to manage domains, publish websites, create email accounts, organize web files, etc.
cPanel has two interfaces. The user interface is known as cPanel and the server management interface is
known as WHM (Web Host Manager).

 Most of the web hosting companies provide cPanel in their hosting plans. Web hosting is the service that
renders websites accessible over the Internet. It is provided by web hosting companies. The “
Best Website Hosting”, the “Best Windows Hosting”, the “Best Cloud Hosting” are some of the terms
that are used frequently to refer to the most popular hosting services.
