12 RULES OF LIFE

By: Hayden Adamchuk

F≠0
Failure does not
give you nothing

• Failure does not mean it’s the end of the road. Just
because you have failed something, it does not mean
that you are at rock bottom.

• There is, and always will be something to learn from

your failures and you need to make sure that you always
persevere, push past any obstacle that stands in your
way.
PHOENIX
No matter how many times, &
how hard you get knocked
down, always
get back
up

• If you fall down or get put down, no matter what,

always try and get back up.

• Recover yourself. Gather your emotions, your thoughts,

your whole strength and come back better than before.
FLATLINE
No matter the
situation, stay calm
& control yourself

• Keep your emotions under control and think logically in

every situation. There is no need to create unnecessary,
extra panic, stress and chaos.

• Whether it be in a conversation, argument, life changing

decision, high stress/ overwhelming environment or
despair; maintain composure.
BUSHIDO
Be of dignity &
honor throughout
your life
• No matter how hard it is, be kind to everyone. Treat
others with politeness and you will receive the same.
Never ruin your persona/ image.

• Maintain a firm understanding of what is right and what

is wrong, your integrity, and your duties. Respect others
and their choices, speak honestly, be courageous, and
show compassion.
FACE TO FACE
Ask yourself where
people stand,
relative to you • Avoid talking to people you have just met, toe to toe/
face to face. Standing, facing each other, is very
confrontational and can be taken the wrong way. If you
ever look at a group of guys talking, they always stand
shoulder to shoulder or on an angle. Make sure your
body language is clear.

• If someone stands behind you, protect them. If they

stand beside you, respect them. If they stand against
you, be without them in your life.
WASTE
Do not waste
time, or time will
waste you
• You only have so much time in your life. Do NOT
waste it; doing something you don’t enjoy or doing
nothing at all.

• Treat each day like it is your last. Have fun, enjoy the
time you are given, be grateful for what you have, strive
for better things and don’t wait for "the right time".
There will never be a right time, do it now and
don’t procrastinate.
BYGONE
Forget about
yesterday. Focus
on today
• Do not stress about things that have already happened.
You can't change the events and decisions from your
past. Try not to think about them and learn to focus on
what is relevant.
• Your memories will haunt you if you give in to
them and dwell in that "dark" state of mind. You need to
move on and forget what does not matter, live in the
present.
WHERE IS MY MIND
Always take care
of your well
being
• It is important to maintain a healthy body and stay
physically capable. Practice good eating habits, good
physical exercise and general physical care/ hygiene.
• The same goes for your mental state. Continue to gain
knowledge, work your brain every day, stay happy by
having a positive outlook on life, and don’t
overthink things, take them at face value. Don't dwell in
the darkness.
MAN OF STEEL
Push yourself past
your "limits". No one
sets your limits but
you.

• Go outside of your comfort zone and experience new

things, try new things and push yourself to do greater
things.
• Pretend there isn't a limit to your abilities until you have
actually found it. Once you know your limits, work
through them, making them less and less until you have
little to no limits.
WISHING WELL
Turn your dreams
into goals & go
after them

• If you have a dream of who you want to be, where you

want to be, the things you want to do and things you
want to have. Why not make an effort to go after them
• Create steps and small goals on how to get to where you
want to be in life & follow them. If something doesn’t
go to plan, don’t shut down. Always have a backup
plan.
?
If you never ask, the
answer will always be
"no" & you will never
know
• If you do not ask for something, anything, the answer
will always be no. Take a risk or chance and just ask.
The answer might be no, but it's possible for the answer
to be yes, if you actually ask.
• Whenever you have a question about something, ask
about it. There is no harm in asking a question and
trying to understand or know something. Simply, if you
do not ask, you will never know. Take a risk or chance
to broaden your knowledge.
BENEDICTION
Be grateful for everything
you have, everything you’ve
been given
& everything
you had • Always be grateful of everything. We take too many
things for granted and we lose sight of what we possess
and should be happy with. The little things people do
for you, give you, tell you. The things you have in your
life, the people, the environment and all the little things
we look past every day.
• Be grateful for what you had, even if it's bad in some
way. There is always a lesson to be learned and
experience to gain. See the value behind it and change
your mindset. No matter what, show gratitude.
