H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu
Dhabi and H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Ruler
of Dubai, met to discuss forming a union.

Six of the seven emirates agreed to


form a union.

The UAE became a country on


December 2, 1971.
The Supreme Council is the highest authority in the UAE.

Each ruler of 7 emirates are the part of Supreme Council.

The Supreme Council approves new federal laws and approves the appointment of the President, the Prime Minister, and the
Judges on the Supreme Court.

The President is the head of the Supreme Council. The President signs laws that the Supreme Council approves

The President of UAE is H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The Vice- President of UAE is H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
