Rule 7.0 Effects of Disqualification
(a) Disqualification Resulting from
infringement of a Technical Rule
(Other than 1. Rule 18.5 of Competition Rules /CR 18.5)
2. Rule 16.5 of Technical Rules/TR 16.5)

CR 18.5 (Rule 125): Referees


Guilty of acting in an unsporting or improper manner.
TR 16.5 (Rule 162) : The start
For any reasons that, an athlete causes……
- the start to be aborted.
- Does not place themselves in their final
starting position ;
- Disturbs other athletes in the race.
7.1

event up to the time of the disqualification.

7.2 If an athlete is excluded from competition under


Rule 18.5, they shall be disqualified from that
event.

If second warning occurs in a different event…

7.3 If a relay team is excluded from competition
under Rule 18.5, it shall be disqualified from
that event.

Performances accomplished in the previous round of


the event shall remain valid.

7.4. Competition Director shall report the serious


offence to relevant governing body for further
disciplinary action.
TR8 (Rule 146) Protests and Appeals
8.1 The status of an athlete in a competition
before the commencement of the competition..

8.2 Protest concerning the results OR conduct of an
event
within 30 minutes of the official announcement of
the result of that event.

The Organiser shall be responsible for the time of


announcement of ALL results is recorded.
8.3 Protest be made orally to the Referee by…

an official representative of a team OR

- they are competing in the same round of event OR
- a team points score is being conducted.

8.4 Track Event
8.4.1 An athlete makes an immediate oral protest

NO athlete should be advanced to a subsequent round
without competing in all rounds UNLESS
under particular circumstances. Referee OR Jury of Appeal

8.4.4 If a protest is made by OR on behalf of an athlete


OR team which did not finish a race (DNF)..
The Referee must ascertain whether the he/they
was OR should have disqualified for breach of
the Rules unrelated to the matter raised in the
protest.
The protest shall be dismissed.
8.5 Field Event
An athlete makes an immediate oral protest
having a trial judged as a failure.
Referee orders the trial to be measured and the result
recorded if he is in any doubt…

8.5.1 :

8.6 The protested performance and any other
performance achieved while competing

8.7 Appeal to Jury of Appeal MUST be made within
30 minutes..
