VISUAL MEMORY
UNIT-5
VISUAL MEMORY

 Visual intelligence measures the ability to process visual material and

to employ both physical and mental images in thinking.
 Your visualization skills determine how well you perceive visual
patterns and extract information for further use.
 Visualization also facilitates the ability to form associations between
pieces of information something which helps improve long term
memory.
 Broadly, there are two Visual Memory Topics :
1.Mirror Images
2.Paper Folding
Problem Area Solution

 Position of the mirror (in front of the  You will see the horizontally inverted
object) image of the object. Example: object on the
left will come to the right and vice versa.
 · The vertical order of images will be the
same.
  The object's reflection will be vertically
inverted. For example, the upright tree
 Position of the mirror (below the would appear as an inverted object and
object) vice versa.
 · Horizontal order of images will not
change.

ANSWERS
1. A - As it can be seen in the descriptive image below the main figure is
disguised in the image. Rest other images do not form the correct main
figure. Hence, A is the correct answer.
2. D- As it can be seen in the descriptive image below the main figure is
disguised in the image. The straight line is touched to the corners in the
figure D only. Rest other images do not form the correct main figure.
3. B
4. B - We can see in the option 2 that the main figure is disguised. The small
corner lines and mid lines do not connect with each other.
5. B - As explained in the below descriptive image, the main figure is hidden
in the option 2. Main image is making a L first and then one line starts
from mid area.
6. D - Two opposite Z are there in the main image which we can see in the
image D only.
7. D - As shown in the descriptive image below, the main figure is hidden in
image D. If remove the outer lines, we can easily make out that the option 4 is
the correct answer.
8. B - As described in the image below, after removing the hands legs and
head from the image B, the main figure can easily be obtained. Rest all
images do not have lines that create a right image.
9. B - We can see from the image below that option B is the correct answer as
no other image is making a clear Z inside the circle.
10. C - Clearly from the above, the main figure is hidden in image C.
11. 2 - As we can observe clearly each element moves in a specific sequence.
Thus image B is correct.
12. 2 - All the signs move Clock wise half the side of the square and then the
signs are changed with new signs in an anti-clock wise direction.
13. 5 - The above problem follows a specific series. Firstly, the two
components exchange positions and the smaller one gets bigger while the
bigger one gets smaller. Secondly, the smaller one is swapped by a new small
component and so on.
14. 2 - Clearly, first hexagon image contains 6 pins figure inside that and then
converted into square. Thus next image will be a square with four pins inside.
15. C - As per the rules of water image the reflection of an object into
the water is its water image. It appears by inverting an object vertically i.e.
upside down. Hence, option 3 is the reflection among all.
16. 2 - As per the rules of water image the reflection of an object into the water is its
water image. It appears by inverting an object vertically i.e. upside down. Hence,
option 2 is the reflection among all.
17. 4 - As per the rules of water image the reflection of an object into the water is its
water image. It appears by inverting an object vertically i.e. upside down. Hence,
option 2 is the reflection among all.
18. 4 - As per the rules of water image the reflection of an object into the water is its
water image. It appears by inverting an object vertically i.e. upside down. Hence,
option D is the reflection among all.
19. 4 - As per the rules of water image the reflection of an object into the water is its
water image. It appears by inverting an object vertically i.e. upside down. Hence,
option D is the reflection among all.
20. 1- As per the rules of water image the reflection of an object into the water is its
water image. It appears by inverting an object vertically i.e. upside down. Hence,
option A is the reflection among all.
