HYSICAL TOLL Poll effects
Physical toll

Drug are chemical compound that affect mind and body. The exact effect vary
among individuals. Also, it depends on the type, dosage and delivery method.
Some of the physical effect include:
• Sleeplessness
• Loss of coordination
• Changes in cognitive ability
• Increased heart rate
• Respiratory problems
• Cardiovascular disease
Side effect
• weakens immune system increasing risk of illness and infection.
• leads to lung disease.
• problem with memory, attention and decision making.
• brings about seizures, stroke, mental confusion and brain damage.
• causes heart complications.
PERFORMANCE

• Brain is a complex organ with unique functions

• Use of these drugs leads to increase in oxygen capacity in bloodstream.
• Drugs causes significant change in performance of athlete.
• Drugs causes change in brain natural balance.
• Drugs overstimulates parts of the brain leading to body imbalance.
SYSTEM BALANCE

• Human brain is most complex part of the body

• It is the center of human brain
• Use of drugs affect importance part of the brain
that are essential in day to day thinking. These
parts include:
(A) Extended amygdala which plays the role of
stress feelings irritability and unease
(B) preferential cortex it powers the ability to think
plan and solve problem make decision and self
control
PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS

One might take more than intended dosage of these drugs hence exceeds and there comes
the addiction along. As a result of the withdrawal attempt comes along with several
psychological effects. These include:
• Hallucination
• Depression
• Panic disorders
• Paranoia
• Confusion
• Paranoid behavior
EFFECTS ON ENDOCRINE, NERVOUS SYSTEM ADD
EXCRETORY SYSTEM

Endocrine system
• Drugs cause endocrine abnormalities via different mechanism
• Affects the evolution of endocrine parameters
Nervous system
• Drugs interfere with the sending, receiving and processing of
information via neurotransmitters
• Attack of neurons by chemicals mimes the neural transmitters
Excretory system
• This system removes excess materials from your body
• This is done by constipation, diarrhea, and fluctuation in
urination
• Lack of elimination of these products, Leeds to infection and
sepsis
REASON TO USE DRUGS AND WHY

• When inflammation threatens to damage critical body organs,

drugs such as steroids are used for treatment.
• Provide significant relief from pain and stiffness
• Due to protein synthesis increases muscle tissues
• Decreasing of body fat
• Increasing red blood cell production hence high oxygen in take
• Helps in Increasing bone material density
HOW THE TREATMENT IS DONE

• Treatment is done by injection or through oral intake.

• One of the method used is blood dropping.
• This is done by increasing the number of red blood cells in the
bloodstream in order to enhance athletic performance.
• Blood dropping has some major effects such as blood clotting
causing the heart to pump blood harder.
• As a result, one suffers heart complications.
CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES

• High risk of infection of diseases such as HIV, TB, viral

hepatitis, endocarditis, pneumonia, and other bacterial
infections.
• Irresponsible Sexual behaviors
• Fatal child development
• Violence and crime
