What are internships?

● Basically you work at some place

● Fortunately enough all IIIT-A students do paid internships.
● Best way to learn work is by actually working. Learn about professional setup.
● You can intern at anytime.
● College facilitates internship drive from the Mid July and internships happen just
before the 7th sem.
● Also there is a chance to get converted to full time employee by getting a

On Campus Internships

A great opportunity to start working for great companies

both MNC’s and Startups.

IIIT Placement Cell invites various companies after 4th

semester.

Easier/simpler to get than an Off Campus offer

What are MNC’s?
Companies that have established offices across
the globe.

Throughout the session we use this term for

companies like Google, Amazon, Adobe, Walmart,
Facebook, Goldman Sachs etc

Generally pay a little less than startups

You get a good brand name and better job

security.

Typically don’t have much control or ownership,

follow orders.

Don’t get a sense of belonging.

What are Startups?
Companies that are newer.

Throughout the session we use this term for

companies like Deshaw, Sprinklr, Salesforce etc

Typically pay more than MNC’s. Some of them

even pay as much as 2L/month for internships
and as high as 44-45 LPA for full time.

You get lavishly rich but have to work a lot.

Typically have much control over decisions, don’t

have to follow orders.

Get a sense of belonging. Because you developed

that thing.
How to prepare
Almost same for off and on campus.

Differences would be covered later.
