Introduction
 The “i – SMART LIBRARY” is an online web portal which
supports students with a direct interactive platform to the
library facilities.
 It gives all necessary information regarding books and also
checks the availability of requested book in the library.
 Every college wants their students to utilize the facilities
provided in a best way. The best way that a college can
provide is to serve the facilities on time.

 “To design and implement an efficient system to manage the
communication between library centers and students to save
time and existing manual methods."

Objectives
 Provides separate logins for admin and users.

 Creates individual user records.

 Updating user profiles efficiently with all latest transactions.

 Allowing only registered users to view the details and status of


books, etc.

 Displays the status of availability and information regarding books.

  Maintains the database and check for invalid data entries.

Design Modules
User Module:-
• User enters the “ i-SMART LIBRARY ” online web portal and can
access all the user options. A successful registration has to be
completed to enter the portal. Once logged in, user can check the
book details and availability of books found in the library efficiently.
Admin Module:-
• The admin can access all the information regarding the library
through the admin home page. Once admin logs in admin
credentials they can access options like add books, view books,
delete books, update availability, view logins and view feedbacks.

Scope for Improvement
• User portal can be added with a feature where every user has an option to
check the expected retrieval of books which are borrowed earlier by some
other user.
• A chat option can be made available between library centers and users
and any extensions for book retrieval can also be made through website.

Conclusion

The “i – SMART LIBRARY" provides an easy way to view the status of books
and also allows users to provide feedback to the library staff.


The website is made user friendly ,so that users with limited computer
knowledge can easily make use of it.


At any point of time users can access the portal and view status, details of
individual books.


Library centers will be able to handle the load in an efficient way on the
number of user logins and type of service requested, etc are known in prior.
