Hue is a unique city with lots to see. I want to stay longer, but Tom and I are both
ready for the beach. Next city is Vung Tau. That city has several beaches and is
famous for its crafts made of seashells. Vietnam is an amazing country. It has a lot of
variety- there are modern cities, small traditional towns, mountains, jungles and
beaches.
Posted on April 4 by Juliana
Now, we´re in the old capital city of Hue. There are many activities to do here such as
hiking the Sapa mountains. It is nice to have accommodation with electricity and
shower! The trip to Sapa was long and exhausting. People in Sapa are called Hmong.
They live a very basic life- no electricity or telephones. They don’t have many
possessions, but they are really kind and friendly. Everyone smiles and says “Hello”. I
can´t speak Vietnamese just a few words. This afternoon, we are taking a walking tour
in Hue. We´re going to visit the Forbidden Purple City, where the emperor lived.
• Do you think Vietnam is an amazing country? Why? Why not?

this traditional festival takes place in June. People decorate buildings with colorful and shiny

Also, in every corner there are performers entertaining people all night long. The White Night
festival is important because Russians want to celebrate their culture in music and dance.
In Japan, there is a magnificent festival called Sanno Festival. This national festival is
celebrated once a year every June. The festival lasts 10 days. During those days, people get
together on the street or on the beautiful shrines and watch the amazing parades. They last
