Introduction
• Face detection and image or video recognition is a popular area of biometrics
research. Real-time face recognition is both an exciting field and a challenge
that is escalating quickly.
• Face detection and image recognition are currently popular technologies that
have caught the attention of today's IT professionals.
• A face recognition is a program that verifies and identifies a person using a
video or picture from a source.
• In this project, We are going to use face detection and recognition technology,
which helps us to make a Smart surveillance system, which will make
identification and recognition of criminal faster and easier with less human
interaction.
Objectives

• The main objective of this project is to use face detection and recognition
technology in the security surveillance for criminal identification using public
cameras.
• The time required for finding the suspected person can be reduced using this
system.
• This system can be useful for making premises more secure using recognising
system in public cameras.
