 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

• The form and qualities of a person's face can be used to identify or verify
someone. This biometrics of the face are recorded by facial recognition. Face
biometrics are measured using a variety of face recognition technologies. Face
recognition systems, on the other hand, have the potential to replace passwords
and fingerprint scanners as technology advances. Face Recognition Attendance
System is a desktop application that uses a digital image to identify and verify a
person's identity. The attendance is completed and recorded in the database when
the recognized face matches the stored image. This technology will provide a
more convenient and alternate method of taking attendance.
 IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY

• For Users: The project's goal is to create an application that allows employees
or students to use a quick and accurate attendance system.
• For Researches: This study may benefit future researchers in better
understanding and applying technological advancements and design a new
attendance system innovative thinking.
 LATEST INNOVATION

• Today, there are a lot of attendance system that might be helpful for everyone,
like used by many businesses for identity, verification, and security. The latest
innovation for this system is affordable and to have a smoot and fast
processing. That is why the Web-Based Attendance System was created.
 PROBLEM OF THE STUDY

Face recognition software isn’t perfect. Every time this technology scans a
person's face, the person's unique biometrics are saved in a database. Without
the authorization of the person who owns the database and the security in place
to secure the database, the information can be leaked, stolen, or misused. Many
times, the system has misidentified the gender or identification of people with
darker skin tones. This occurred due to a lack of information that represented a
varied group of people.
 SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM

• The problem can be solved by creating a secure Web-Based Face Recognition

Attendance System. As a result, the goal is to secure the user's information as
well as the system's security in order to prevent misuse of personal and
sensitive data, as well as data deletion or loss.
 OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
• The project's overall goal is to create a Web-based application that would evaluate the user's
attendance using the Face Recognition Attendance System.

The software should be able to do the following:

• To identify and verify someone using Web-Based Face Recognition Attendance System
• To develop a secured Web-Based Face Recognition Attendance System.
• To secure the privacy from deletion and loss.
• undergo testing and evaluation of its functionality.

• The materials to be used for this project are Laptop, and smartphone
 SOFTWARE USED

• To develop this project, we use Microsoft Visual Studio, and SQL Server for
storing databases.
 HOW THE PROJECT WILL WORK/
SIMULATION OF THE PROJECT

• Admin and the user’s can sign-up first in to the system.

• The user’s information can be seen from here by the admin. Admin can also add
user’s to the system and delete user’s from the system.
• Users can log their time in/out on the system using cameras.
• Based on the data gathered from the database, administrators can obtain the
users' Daily Time Record file.
• Shows the camera windows when taking new attendance.
 TESTING AND EVALUATION

• My partner and I will be the first to put the project to the test. We'll look for
errors and evaluate if the system is responsive enough to meet the needs of
both our client and our academics. Our adviser would be the next person to
assess our system. Before we go to our client, we'll let our adviser uncover
any gaps, problems, and double-check everything in our system. If our
panelists allow us the opportunity, we'd like to finish the project as soon as
possible so that we may test and evaluate it.
