RACE CLASSIFICATION
 THE ELEVEN MAJOR RACES

1. CAUCASOIDS- They display extremely variable skin color, from the lightest color to dark brown.
They are commonly referred to as the white race. Head hair is think .Nose shapes are extermely variable but
tend to be narrow and projecting. Lips are average and tend to be thin. The cephalic index runs from one
extreme to the other and stature is from tall to short.
 2. MONGOLOIDS

They display variable color of skin, yellowish, light brown on the verage. Hair usually varies but commonly straight and
usually balck. Lips are variable but are on the average of medium thickness. Cheek bones project fordward and leteraly.
Heavy Fat padding appears to be consequence of selection of survival in very cold winters.
 3. AFRICAN NEGROIDS

They inhabit the South Sahara extending as far south as the Cape of Good Hope in Africa. There skin varies from
yellowish brown or dark brown almost black. Hair varies from very curly to wolly or frizzy and they have little body
hair .Noses are varible in width although often wide .Ears are usually small .Lips are thick .
 4.MELANESIANS

They live in many South Pacific isalands, termed Melanesia ,stretching across 3,000 miles of ocean from New
Guinea to Fiji. They are generally characterized by deeply pigmented skin and eyes, tightly curled hair.
 5. MICRONESIAN
POLYNESIANS

They are found in the islands of Melanesia from Hawaii to New Zealand , to Eastern Island .The body hair is slight .Their
skin is light and head hair varies from straight to frizzly but is typically wavy .
 6.CONGO OR CENTRAL AFRICAN
PYGMIES

They are regarded as genetically Negroid.Their average stature is less than five feet.They are not as dark as the
African Negroids and Melanesians ,and they have more body hair than these two races.
