The True Beauty of

Life
Does God Take Pleasure in His
Creation?
Gen 1:4, 12, 18, 21 & 25
Gen 1:31
And God saw every thing that he had made,

and, behold,it was very good .

And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Psa 104:31  The glory of the LORD
shall endure for ever: the LORD shall
rejoice in his works.
Num 14:21  But as truly as I live, all the earth shall
be filled with the glory of the LORD.

Hab 2:14  For the earth shall be filled with the

knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters
cover the sea.
Why does God
take pleasure in
His creation?
1. God rejoices in his works
because his works are an
expression of his glory

Psa 104:31  The glory of the LORD

shall endure for ever: the LORD shall
rejoice in his works.

Psa 19:1  The heavens declare

the glory of God;
and the firmament
sheweth his handywork.
In the beginning was the Word and the Word
was with God and the Word was God. All things
were made through him and without him was
not anything made that was made. (John 1:3)

Creation is an expression of the overflow of that

life and joy that the Father and the Son have in
each other.
2. God rejoices in the
works of creation
because they praise him.

Psalms 148:3-5, 7
3. God rejoices in the works of
creation because they reveal
his incomparable wisdom.

Psa 104:24  O LORD, how manifold are

thy works! in wisdom hast thou made
them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
Psa 104:14  He causeth the grass to grow for the
cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he
may bring forth food out of the earth;
Isa 40:28  Hast thou not known? hast thou not
heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the
Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not,
neither is weary? there is no searching of his
understanding.
4. God rejoices in the works of
creation because they reveal his
incomparable power.
Isaiah 40:26 (ESV)
26  Lift up your eyes on high and see:
who created these?
He who brings out their host by number,
calling them all by name;
by the greatness of his might
and because he is strong in power,
not one is missing.
5. God rejoices in the works of
creation because they point us
beyond themselves to God himself.

Psa 104:33  I will sing unto the LORD as long as I

live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my
being.
Psa 104:34  My meditation of him shall be sweet: I
will be glad in the LORD.
