DEFINITIONS
 World Health Organization (WHO) defines
adolescence as a phase of life between 10-19
years of age.
 “Adolescence is a phase of life that begins in
biology and ends in society”, (Sharma, 1999).
It is thus a transition period from a child body
to an adult body.
