Perceived Effect of Project Pulot Plas-

tic of the Selected Junior Highschool in

Dr. Maria D. Pastrana National High-
school
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Statement of the Problem

The purpose of the study is to find the perceived effects of the Project Pulot Plastics of
the Selected Junior High school

1. What are the perceived effects of Project Pulot Plastic to the students in terms of;
1.1 Knowledge on proper waste segregation
1.2 Environmental Concerns and Stewardships

2. How does the Project Pulot Plastic benefit the students?

3. What are the ways that can be done to promote the implementation of Project Pulot
Plastic?
METHODOLOGY
Research Locale

The research locale is conducted in Dr. Maria D.

Pastrana National High School. The school is located
at Quezon St. Brgy. Bagong Bayan Mauban, Quezon.
Research Design
The researchers will use descriptive mixed method
of research as it includes the quantitative surveys,
observation and structured content analysis. And
qualitative for interviews, and observation to know
the Perceive Effects of Project Pulot Plastic. The
researchers believed that the said design will cater
the needs of the study.
Population and Sampling
The research consist of respondents who were enrolled
in Dr. Maria D. Pastrana High School, that consist of 342
total of respondents that was computed using the Slovin’s
formula. The researchers choose Junior High students of
Dr. Maria D. Pastrana National High School because Ju-
nior High students experience this Project while they are
still in High School. While the researchers did not choose
Senior High students because they are busy and they are
more discipline in recycling.
Research Instrumentation
The researchers used Likert scale questionnaire
consist two parts and the last part as a structured
interview as instrument in this research. This
instrument use as a simple way or easy way
to determine or gather data of how
The project pulot plastic as a factor in affecting
the Junior High school.
Validation of Instrument
The questionnaire of the perceived effects of Project
Pulot Plastic is validated by language experts and
statisticians. For the face validation, the Edukasyon
sa Pagpapakatao teacher assessed the questionnaire
if the content were related to the study and in lined
to the objective of the study. Moreover, the language
experts to be modified and the complex sentence
structures will be rephrased and made concise.
Data Gathering Procedure
The researchers asked for the approval of the research adviser to
conduct the research study in Dr. Maria D. Pastrana National
High School, to determine if there is a perceived effect the
Project Pulot Plastic. In addition, researchers asked for the per-
mission of the respondents to answer the given set of question-
naire and interview .
After collecting the question from the respondents, the
researchers analyzed and evaluate the answer of the respondents
to attain the objectives of the study.
Statistical Treatment
First, the researchers determine what is the total population of
Dr. Maria D. Pastrana National High School which is 2,365 total
population and to determine the specific number of respondents.
They use the Slovin’s Formula.
The formula is
n= N n = 2,365
1 + Ne² 1 + 2,365 (0.05)²

And the total number of respondents is 342.

To determined the effect of the uses of social media in
buying behavior of Generation Z, the weighted mean was
serve by the researchers,
The formula is

WAM= 4f+3f+2f+1f
N
Where,
WM = Weighted Mean
N = Number of Respondents
f = Number of Samples

FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND
RECOMMENDATION
FINDINGS
Based on the discussion and interpretation of the results, the researcher presented
the following findings:
1. These are the knowledge on proper waste segregation and environmental con-
cerns and stewardships.
1.1 Junior High School students are now conscious and already having a knowl-
edge in terms of proper waste segregation.
1.2 Junior High School students are already aware, and have a conscious mind
for Environmental Aspects but sometimes, they are still lacking of actions on doing
the proper segregation.
2. Junior High School students develop their attitudes and behaviors towards the
proper waste disposal and segregation.
3. The respond of the selected Junior High School students that this project can
promote through social media, poster, tarpaulin, and by telling to others.
CONCLUSIONS

Based on the finding of the study the researcher concludes that:

1.1. The selected Junior High School students really have the topmost perceived ef-
fects of Project Pulot Plastic in terms of being affected in a way of becoming con-
scious in everything about waste materials. States that they are more knowledgeable
and aware in terms of proper waste segregation.
1.2. Only states most of the time they do the proper disposal and segregation, but
there are times that they forget to do the proper disposal and segregation of their
waste in the vicinities of the school and other places.
2. The students have change of attitude and behavior towards the disposal and segre-
gation of their garbage.
3. That through social media it is the easiest way to inform other about this project
not only in our community but also in the other and different town.
RECOMMENDATIONS

Based on the findings and conclusions made, the following are recommended:
1. The students should change their bad habits of disposing their waste and learn how to
segregate the garbage properly.
2. The teacher should encourage and motivate their students on the proper disposal and
segregation of their waste and be the good role model on how to do it properly. Let the stu-
dents know the importance and benefits of segregating properly.
3. School heads, should help on promoting and implementing the proper waste disposal
and segregation. They should provide more utilities that students can use to properly seg-
regate.
4. Community should monitor the amount of waste products that the community produce
to lessen the garbage. They should also provide seminars that will help the community to
learn the importance of proper waste disposal and segregation.
5. Researchers should help in promoting and implementing the proper waste disposal and
segregation.
