Introduction
A Dual power supply is a regular direct current power supply. It can
provide a positive as well as negative voltage. It ensures stable power
supply to the device as well as it helps to prevent system damage.
Dual power supplies are circuits that generate two different output
voltages from a single input source.
There are numerous types and configurations possible.
The most common configuration provides two different positive DC
voltage outputs or two equal magnitude and opposite polarity DC
voltage outputs.

Design Methodolgy:

 Rectifier using for the conversion of main 220v AC supply to desired

30V Dc voltages.
 For smoothing and reducing the ripples from raw dc output of
rectifier ,using a reservoir Capacitor.
 Now, Additional controller (Chopper) is used to 12V DC supply to 30V
DC for obtaining additional power.
 12 V solar pannel can also be used for additional input DC voltage
 After that we use a constant controller for desired constant voltage
and current at the output of dual mode power supply

Project Progress
• Study about full Bridge reactifire (AC to DC convertor).
• Study all about the components that are used in designing this
convertor like diode,transformer,capacitor and resistor.
• After complete studying about the first part of our project
reactifire ,we simulate it on proteous software.
• And our requred output is 30 V DC But our simulation of reactifire
giving 29V nearely equal to our desired ourput.
• we have completed our first task in our timetable .

Applications/Limitations
Applications
1.The need for a Dual power supply in OPAMPS
OPAMPS generally need to swing bipolar output voltages. One of them goes either in positive or in
negative in response to the normal input signal range. Thus OPAMPS has two rails. So in order to
provide power to the OPAMPS, we need a Dual power supply.
2. The need for a Dual power supply in Generators
.When we want to run two different power circuits on the same power supply without taking it offline,
we need a dual power supply. It allows us to perform maintenance and other work on electrical
equipment without taking the device offline.
3. The need for a Dual power supply in DIY
we can use a dual power supply as a cell phone charging circuit, power bank circuit, in the Battery-
less power circuits, also in case of any direct current power supply, we can use this Dual power supply.

It is cheap and reliable because there is no regular maintenance like filtration plants.
