OZONE LAYER

César Jiménez and Valeria De

Francisco 4ºED
WHAT IS THE OZONE LAYER?

The ozone layer is a layer at an altitude of 10km

that absorbs the ultraviolet radiation of the sun.
WHERE IS THE OZONE LAYER LOCATED?

The ozone layer is located between

the troposphere and the stratosphere
at an altitude of 10km, surrounding the Earth.
WHAT IS ITS FUNCTION?
The ozone layer absorbs the Earth
from ultraviolet radiation, it protects
humans, animals and plants. The
ultraviolet light is dangerous for the
organisms and in humans can also
cause diseases like cancer or blindness.
HOW IS THE OZONE LAYER BEING DESTROYED?
The ozone layer is being destroyed
because of gases used in
industries,or in oil and petrol cars,
or because of the deforestation.
If the ozone layer gets full destroyed,
temperatures will be higher and
there will be worse life conditions.
IS THERE ANY MEASURE TO PREVENT ITS DESTRUCTION?

Yes, for example:

-governments implementing laws
to minimize the gas consume.
-reducing the petrol use and using
public transport
-using products that don't harm the environment
