    Future conditionals are used to describe possible future events and their consequences, or unlikely, imaginary, or impossible future events and their consequences. For real conditionals that are possible or likely, the "if clause" uses the present tense and the main clause uses the future tense. For unreal conditionals that are unlikely, imaginary, or impossible, the "if clause" uses the past tense and the main clause uses the conditional "would" plus a verb. Examples are provided to illustrate real and unreal conditional sentences.

    FUTURE CONDITIONALS

    Future conditionals are used to make proposals


    about the future and to describe its consequences.
    UNREAL CONDITIONALS
    REAL CONDITIONALS A future event is unlikely, imaginary or impossible
    A future event is possible or likely
     IF + SIMPLE PAST, WOULD + VERB
     IF/WHEN + SIMPLE PRESENT,
    FUTURE
     If I had a day off from work next
    week, I would go to the beach
     If I go to my friend's house for
    dinner tonight, I will take a bottle
    of wine or some flowers
    Examples

     Researchers are visiting Loch Ness next week to see if they can find signs of the Loch Ness
    Monster. I seriously doubt they will find anything. If they did actually manage to find
