Example 1: Feedback
 Special Area Teacher
 The teacher is struggling to build rapport and
manage numerous classrooms. When you observed
you noticed she took 8 minutes before providing the
students with directions. Students seemed confused
on where to find independent materials. Teacher
had to yell numerous time to gain the attention of
the class.
 What specific feedback would you give for this
teacher?

 Discuss reviewing procedures


 Discuss with the teacher the tasks she expects to be
independent
 Suggest using a signal to gain the classes attention
 Create a competition between the other classes
 Discuss the importance of capitalizing on the time in class
Example 2: Feedback
 Separate Class Paraprofessional
 The Paraprofessional is in a K-2 classroom. You
observe her assisting students in the cafeteria.
During this time, she is disengaged and eating her
lunch. Students are quite but not interacting with
peers.

paraprofessional?
