PREFACE

The importance of the use of technology in transport is very

useful, since currently most of the vehicles use new
technologies for their use, such as GPS, Wi-Fi internet, the
reverse camera, among other things that have to its use.
HOW DOES THE IoT WORK?

The term “Internet of Things” (IoT) was first used in 1999 by

British pioneer Kevin Ashton to describe a system in which
objects in the physical world could be connected to the Internet
via sensors.
BENEFITS OF IoT IN LOGISTICS.

The IoT applied to logistics allows the improvement of

production processes in each of its phases. In addition, it drives
speed and efficiency in supply chains.
CONNECTED DEVICES IMPROVE WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT

Product Information. The application of hyperconnected devices in the

industrial stock makes it possible to obtain certain data in real time.

Energy control. Meters that control and analyze the remaining energy of
the organization’s fleet of vehicles and facilities can be integrated.
ADVANTAGES:
● Improved efficiency thanks to the immediacy of information.
● Cost savings, especially in industry.
● Automation of processes that improve their productivity.

DISADVANTAGES:
● It requires a technological investment.
● Anything connected to the Internet, being vulnerable to cyber attacks,
implies security challenges.
CONCLUSION

It is clear: the Internet of Things is going to be a fundamental

factor for organizations that want to be leaders, practically in any
sector. Its use offers great value, especially in relation to costs or
increased productivity.
