Eats, a sponsorship partnership with Pokémon
Go, and a distribution partnership with West Jet.

McDonald's cost structure has some similarities to
the industry average in this case with raw materials
(purchasing) being one of the largest components,
followed by labor.

• 24.60% on salaries
• 3.40% on Marketing
• 14.00% on Rent and Profit
On the other hand, fixed include building
leases, franchise fees, machinery, workers, and
utilities.
Variable costs include food and beverages,
transportation costs, paper products, plastic
products, and workers’ salaries; most of the cost
goes to raw materials, which are variable costs.

Revenue streams
McDonald's generates revenue from franchise agreements by offering franchises to its partners, considering
that it is a very important player in the fast-food market, its major source of revenue is the rental of its
premises to franchisees. Considering that this model provides McDonald's with a steady stream of income
from rent and royalties on food sales.

McDonald's accounts for about 82% of franchisee revenues, compared to 16% of company-operated locations,
as a result McDonald's aims to continue to increase its share of franchise locations from 93% to 95% in the
future.

McDonald's operates the following business divisions:


• International Markets
• U.S. Operations
• International and corporate licensed development markets.

Each of these divisions' accounts for 54%, 37.2% and 8.7% of the
company's revenues.
