My Turn to Cry

by: Swenny Jamm Tondo

Now it's my turn to cry,

To ease the pain that I felt inside.
It's my turn to cry,
Enough for those lies.

I've been holding back my tears for so long,

I can't bear to see myself pretending to be strong.
It's my turn to cry,
And let my tears flow from my lonely eyes.

Lyrical Poem
New Mornings in the Pandemic
By: Joannie Grace Apdo

Waking up with sadness and worries

Another day to pray and keep safe
Day by day giving thanks to corona warriors
For they're our heroes

Fighting to our unseen enemies is a challenge

So building strong bonds
Is a must
All things changed!
How sad to see our friends and loved ones virtually
Another different day to see,
No occasions and crowded areas
And a virus to blame

A lesson to everyone
Take a break and ponder how good life is
Amidst the pandemic no one can replace a good heart and;
Above all God who strengthens us

Girl in white
By: Jennyvel Laraño Evalle

A girl in a white dress looks classy

Her aura is so sassy
She got the vibes
And can pull some tribes
But you can see that her wrinkles are saggy

Limerick
In The Stray Dogs POV
By: Riza Joy Caro

I
I wake up with the blowing loud horns
Because I slept on street where I was born.
I spent my life surviving danger
Digging trash to cure my hunger.
II
I have no home to go
Nor a safely place I know
I got no master to feed me
Nor a field I can play and run free.
III
I was always chased by people
They always think I bring trouble
But in fact, I was not rude
I was just want to ask for food.
IV
If you ever saw me somewhere
And has nothing to share,
Its perfectly fine, I swear
But please don’t give me pain I can’t
bear.
