Coherency
”describes the way that the elements in our sentences and paragraphs hang together to
produce meaning.”
If something has coherence, its parts are well-connected and work together to help the
reader make sense of the information.
Style
the way a writer writes. It is commonly described as the author’s “voice” and includes
their syntax, preferred word choice, and tone.
Tone
is the author’s attitude about a topic.
Plagiarism
presenting someone else’s ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating
them into your own work.
APA Citation
is a quotation or an explicit reference to a source of information. An APA citation is the style developed
by the American Psychological Association and is the generally accepted style of citing sources.
