Air pollution
All significant talks at the international level
have focused on air pollution because we all
share and value air. Breathable air is essential
for maintaining health, so the recent levels of
air pollution observed around the globe have
caused serious concern for all citizens. As a
result, environmentalists like Greta Thunberg
and others have raised their voices to pressure
governments to alter their pollution-control
regulations. Additionally, there has been a
significant public demand for this, which has
led to the emergence of tighter regulations
and increased public awareness of the dangers
of air pollution.
CAUSES OF AIR
POLLUTION
1.The Burning of Fossil Fuels
2. Industrial Emission
3. Indoor Air Pollution
4. Wildfires
5. Transportation
6.Smoking Cigarette
7.Open Burning of Waste
PREVENTION OF AIR
POLLUTION
• AVOIDING THE BURNING OF GARBAGE AND
SMOKING
• AVOIDING THE USE OF FIRECRACKERS
• LESS USE OF VEHICLES, WALK WHENEVER POSSIBLE
• AVOID SMOKING CIGARETTE
• AVOID BURNING OF FOSSIL FUELS
Water pollution
Water pollution is a major problem because it
severely affects aquatic creatures' lives and
causes complete ecosystem disruption in the
water bodies where it occurs. Aquatic
creatures are susceptible to conditions that are
fatal due to the widespread use of plastics,
water bottles, and polythenes. Additionally, as
a result of increased water pollution, the PH
level of the water bodies has been tampered
with, and at some places, the water in these
water bodies has turned so poisonous or acidic
that fish, dolphins, and penguins have
frequently been found dead along river and
seashores.
CAUSES OF WATER
POLLUTION
1.Domestic wastes such as household
detergents, sewage, etc.
2.Industrial wastes.
3.Offshore and oil drilling.
4.Thermal pollution
5.Nutrient pollution
6.Oxygen depletion
7.Microbiological pollution
8.Suspended matter
9.Chemical water pollution
10.Oil spillage
PREVENTION OF WATER
POLLUTION
• DON’T THROW WASTE INTO WATER EG.PLASTIC BOTTLES
• DON’T MIX WASTE/BAD WATER AND CLEAN WATER
• DON’T DISCHARGE FACTORY WASTE INTO WATER
• CLEAN WATER IF POSSIBLE
