How is pedigree measured?

Pedigree is measured by looking at the


evaluation result when they are 1,5 year old
(18 Months).

The number of Sires used were 5 – 15% of the total
males in the same year of birth

Traits to record
(Selection Criteria and/or breeding

1. The selection criteria use are Body Weight, Body Height, Body
Length and Chest circumference
2. From the data has been recorded we make the index
calculation with our own formula
3. Each cattle will get score from the calculation and will be
ranked based on the score itself
4. Younger cattle will get higher rank if more than one cattle get
same score

Index Calculation Formula

1. The final report of this index calculation is rank based on the total score from the highest
to the lowest
2. The 5% - 15% highest rank for replecement , the next 35 % for Commercial stock and
last 50% for beef cattle
