powerful than
the devil”

1st Sunday of Lent

February 26, 2023

Lord, We Come to You

We come to
You on this
day
With faith we
kneel down to
pray
Wash us from
our guilt and
free us from
our sins
Teach us to
love You, O
Lord
We open our
hearts and we
praise You
Lord,
by Your cross,
You save the
world
Forgive us our
sins, have
mercy on us
Teach us to
love You, O
Lord
We come to
You on this
day
With faith we
kneel down to
pray
Wash us from
our guilt and
free us from
our sins
Teach us to
love You, O
Lord…
Teach us to
love You, O
Lord.

HOMILY
Profession of Faith

I believe in
God,
the Father
almighty,
Creator of
heaven and
earth,
And in Jesus
Christ, his
only Son, our
Lord,
Who was
conceived by
the Holy Spirit
Born of the
Virgin Mary,
Suffered
under
Pontius Pilate
Was crucified,
died, and was
buried;
He descended
into hell;
On the third day
he rose again
from the dead;
He ascended
into heaven,
and is
seated at
the right
hand
Of God the
Father
almighty;
From there He
will come to
judge the living
and the dead.
I believe in
the Holy
Spirit,
The holy
catholic
Church,
the
communion of
Saints,
the
forgiveness
of sins,
the
resurrection of
the body
and life
everlasting,
Amen.
PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL

“Faithful God,
sustain us by
your Word.”
Lord We Bring To You

Lord, we bring
to you
The bread of
life, we offer to
you
Bless them with
Your spirit, and
together we will
eat it.
Lord we
bring to you
The cup of
joy, we offer
them too
Bless them with
your spirit, and
together we will
drink it
We lift to you
this sacrifice
We offer it for
your glory
Transform them
to Your body
and blood
The source of
our salvation
A symbol of
Your love
Holy (Mass of Christ the Savior)

Holy, Holy
Holy Lord God
of Hosts
Heaven and
earth are
full,
are full of
your glory
Hossana,
hossana,
Hossana in
the highest
Blessed is he
who comes,
who comes
in the name
of the Lord
Hossana,
hossana,
Hossana in
the highest
When We Eat this Bread (Mass of
Christ the Savior)

When we eat this

Bread and drink
this Cup
We proclaim
Your death O
Lord, until you
come again
OUR FATHER

Our Father
who art in
heaven
Hallowed be
Thy name,
Thy kingdom
come
Thy will be
done
On earth as it
is in heaven
Give us this
day our daily
bread
And forgive us
our
trespasses,
As we forgive
those who
trespass
against us
And lead us
not into
temptation,
But deliver us,
deliver us
from evil
For the
Kingdom, the
power,
and the glory
are Yours, now
and forever
Lamb of God (Light from Light)

Lamb of God, you

take away the sins
of the world.
Have mercy,
have mercy
on us.
Lamb of God,
you take away
the sins of the
world.
Have mercy,
have mercy
on us.
Lamb of God,
you take away
the sins of the
world.
Grant us
peace,
grant us peace.
You Are Mine

I will come to
you in the
silence
I will lift you
from all your
fear
You will hear
My voice
I claim you as
My choice
Be still, and
know I am
near
I am hope for
all who are
hopeless
I am eyes for
all who long
to see
In the
shadows of
the night,
I will be your
light
Come and
rest in Me
Do not be
afraid, I am
with you
I have called
you each by
name
Come and
follow Me
I will bring
you home
I love you and
you are mine
I am strength
for all the
despairing
Healing for the
ones who dwell
in shame
All the blind
will see, the
lame will all
run free
And all will
know My
name
Do not be
afraid, I am
with you
I have called
you each by
name
Come and
follow Me
I will bring
you home
I love you and
you are mine
I am the Word
that leads all to
freedom
I am the peace
the world
cannot give
I will call your
name, embracing
all your pain
Stand up,
now, walk,
and live
Do not be
afraid, I am
with you
I have called
you each by
name
Come and
follow Me
I will bring
you home
I love you and
you are mine.
Do not be
afraid, I am
with you
I have called
you each by
name
Come and
follow Me
I will bring
you home
I love you and
you are mine.
