• It is defined as the systematic and organized


process of collecting, organizing, analyzing,
and interpreting data to find answers to our
queries.
INQUIRY AND RESEARCH

• A research is a product of an inquisitive


mind.

• Research is a form of inquiry. Thus, not all


inquiries can be considered a research.

Exploratory research
• When the purpose of research is to provide a
foundation for future studies, it is called
exploratory research.

• Exploratory research can either be:


1. Primary research
2. Secondary research
Exploratory research
•Primary Research is collected through the use of
interviews, focus groups, customer surveys, or
any way that organizations are able to obtain
feedback.

•Secondary research is the analysis and synthesis


of primary research that was compiled at a
previous date.
Descriptive research
• The aim of descriptive research is to give
additional information on newly discovered
ideas which were results of explorations.

• Descriptive research includes observational


research, case studies, and surveys.
Explanatory research

• Explanatory research looks on how things are


connected together and how things interact.
