HIGHER LEVEL Listening & Reading

You will sit one Listening Exam lasting 35 minutes. This exam includes 5 minutes’ reading time of the question paper
before the listening stimulus is played.

You will sit one Reading Exam lasting 45 minutes. This follows immediately on from the Listening Exam.

HIGHER LEVEL Speaking HIGHER LEVEL Writing

For the Speaking Exam you will be given the following tasks: For the Writing Exam you will be given the following tasks:
One role play (2 minutes)
One photo card (2 – 3 minutes) on either Technology or TV and Film One 90 word task on either Technology OR Hobbies  
One conversation topic of your choice from either Family
and relationships, Technology or Freetime ( music/ film and TV/ food ) One 150 word task on either Family Life  or Freetime 
(3-4 minutes)

When you arrive for your test, You will have 12 minutes under
One short translation task from English into German.

During the General Conversation part of the test, notes are not
permitted.

REVISION TIPS
To revise for your Speaking Exam, you will need to learn phrases for the
role play.
You can use speaking questions to help to prepare for the photo card
section.
You will need to revise from answers you have written to speaking
questions for the General Conversation part of the test.
