ACTIVITIES TO BE CARRIED OUT BY SM
🞆 Understand/Acquire the skills required for managing
different projects undertaken by the students of their
respective colleges.
🞆 Setting a target for enrollment of students.
🞆 Registration of students with the Department
🞆 Finalizing enrollment of students
🞆 Distributing a photo copy of the concerned activity to the
students
🞆 Assisting in organizing of the training programs at the
College.
🞆 Preparing the initial term and annual report of the concerned
activity
🞆 Obtaining permission from local agencies for arranging field
activities.
ACTIVITIES TO BE CARRIED OUT BY SM

🞆 Guiding the students about organizing field work and

preparing records.
🞆 Organization and participation in the annual competitions of
the Department
🞆 Collecting the completed Project Reports/skills acquisition
certificate and arrange to submit them in March to the
Department with the Students Mark List.
🞆 Assisting the teacher in the preparation of grace marks lists
and the completion of formalities for the award of ten marks.
🞆 Submission of the Accounts of the year.
🞆 Writing the Project Report
EXTENSION WORK TEACHER

This Extension Work Teacher will:-

i. Attend First Term and Second Term Training Programs
conducted by the Department.
ii. Organize First Term and Second Term Training
Programs at college level.
iii. Arrange the First Term and Second Term field Visits of the
Extension Work Field Co-ordinator.
iv. Supervise the work done by the students with the help of
Extension Work Student Manager.
v. Prepare the documents to be submitted by the College
vi. Assess the Project Reports at the College level.
EXTENSION WORK TEACHER

This Extension Work Teacher is also expected :-

🞆 To be present throughout the College and the Community
level Programs.
🞆 To carry out Field Visits at least once in a month in the
Community.
🞆 To be present during the Field Visits by the Extension Work
Field Co- ordinator.
🞆 To ensure that every single student is present during the
Field Visits by the Field Co- ordinator.

THE OBJECTIVES OF NEW EXTENSION WORK PROJECTS

1. To provide career orientation and job orientation to the college

students
2. To bridge the knowledge gap between the College, University
and the Community.
3. To enhance employability of the students.
4. To provide opportunity to the students for development of
marketable work skills.
5. To give opportunity to the students to apply classroom
knowledge for the benefit of the community (Lab to Land).
6. To make the students aware of social problems in the community
and
7. To enable the students to find their socio-cultural roots.
CAREER PROJECT-
🞆 Career project aims at students gaining information
about career options that they can pursue in future.
🞆 For this the student has to present information about
various career options in the form of chart, brochures &
short talk that may become resource material for Career
Guidance Club in college.
PURPOSE-
🞆 1. To help a student to fine out information about a
career before undertaking it.
🞆 2. to enable s student to learn the interview technique &
methods of collecting information.
🞆 3. To teach a student how to prepare materials for the
dissemination of information collected.
🞆 4. To help a student to know about the job prospects of
the career being explored.
ACTIVITIES OF CP TO BE CARRIED OUT
BY STUDENT-
🞆 1. Attend training programs at the college.
🞆 2. Select a career of your choice.
🞆 3. Interview two persons pursuing the career using the
given questionnaire.
🞆 4. Find out complete information about the career from
Vocational Guidance centres, libraries, internet, etc..
🞆 5. Organize data & prepare 4 charts showing different
aspects related to the career.
🞆 6. Prepare a booklet/pamphlet/brochure on the career
covering the points given below-
🞆 A. Qualification necessary for entry.
🞆 B. Nature of work in that career.
🞆 C. Working conditions.
🞆 D. Preparation needed: Education & training essential
for entry.
🞆 i. Graduation, professional, etc..
🞆 ii. Advertisement.
🞆 iii. Estimated earnings- At the start & after 5 yrs.
🞆 iv. Outlook for this occupation.
🞆 v. Related occupations.
🞆 vi. Advantages & disadvantages.
🞆 7. Prepare a 5 minutes talk on the career.
🞆 8. display 4 charts made on the career at a school, own
college & university by organizing career exhibition.
🞆 9. Attend & participate in the Annual Festival of DLLE.
