Topic

Artificial intelligence in surgery

 Artificial intelligence is used to analyze past data from

the past operation, and the information is used to

develop new surgical techniques.

 Robots that are driven by artificial intelligence is

being used to perform more complicated operations

(Yu et al.,2018).

 Artificial intelligence will enable remote surgery

where surgeons can carry out surgery through online

web platforms.
Development of Immunotherapy

 Artificial Intelligence will increase the level at

which immunotherapy is used in cancer treatment,

resulting in a new phase in cancer treatment (Jiang et

al, 2017).

 Machine learning algorithms can determine specific

therapy for a patient with a certain genetic makeup,

thereby providing a reliable method of determining

which patients will respond to immunotherapy

(Reddy et al.,2019).
Monitoring health through wearable
devices.
 Artificial intelligence helps to monitor the patients

through personal devices and wearables. These

devices will help track a patient's heartbeat, and as a

result, more data will be collected and compared.

 The devices can warn the user if they need more

exercise and when an abnormality occurs. The

information is then transferred to an Artificial

Intelligence system and then shared with professional

healthcare providers (Yu et al.,2018).

Analyzing complex datasets

 Artificial intelligence can utilize electronic data

as a dependable risk predictor by analyzing and

extracting information accurately.

 The ability of Artificial intelligence to read the

unique genetic makeup of the patient will

enable health care providers to tailor treatment

programs to the affected individuals (Jiang et

al., 2017).
Aiding diagnosis

 Artificial intelligence will help to revolutionize

clinical decision-making. Artificial intelligence is in a

position to get ahead of chronic diseases such as

chronic diseases. Machine learning will also help

determine whether to continue caring for critically ill

patients like those in a coma after cardiac

arrest(Reddy et al.,2019)

 Artificial intelligence is also to prevent complications

that might result due to the wrong diagnosis.

Other impact of AI in Healthcare

 Artificial intelligence will boost the development of next-

generation tools. That will have high accuracy level and help

in various surgical procedures (Jiang et al, 2017).

 It will help expand health care in the developing regions; it

will help bridge the shortage of healthcare providers, thereby

enabling the saving of life in these regions (Reddy et

al.,2019)

 Reducing the burden of electronic health record use.

 It will create more precise analytics for pathology images

(Jiang et al., 2017).
