Design basis of NRL project

We went through the design basis of

NRL to understand

• Different types of Material

• Various kinds of Loads in Piperack.
• Different load Combinations

Modeling of Piperack

The piperack PR-1903 was

modelled in staad.

Vertical Bracings is placed in 3

different ways.

DESCRIPTION OF PIPE LOADS

REFERENCE AXIS :

Comparing the axis given in the pipe load file and the staadpro software, axis were
changed according. Consequently, the values of loads were also entered in the
respective changed columns.

Node name :

Viewing the navisworks drawing, the nodes and the corresponding resting conditions
are noted in excel file. The input file from the piping section in which the pipe loads are
given with support conditions is taken as a reference file.

Piping loads :

As per the test cases and the loads of input from the piping section, loads were entered
accordingly by changing the axis for the staad file.
