ability to learn. There are also millions of children who simply do not go to
school because their families need them to help in the fields or perform
domestic duties.
𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙨 are deemed important because these are among the
efforts done to address the prominent problem of malnutrition, hunger, and
food insecurity here in our country. The feeding program aims to provide
augmentation support through feeding program for children in day care
centers. Also, it aims to improve knowledge, attitude and practices of children
enrolled in day care centers, parents and caregivers through intensified
nutrition and health education. In the same manner, it targets to improve and
sustain the nutritional status of all target children and refer to health units
medical and nutrition-related problems of children.
Securing the future of the children is very important for us and seeing smiles
on every face of these children gives us the inspiration to perform duties well
to achieve lasting peace and development.
After the feeding program, As part of the charity response of LOVE
PHILIPPINE MOVEMENT, 40 food packs were distributed. This collective
act of generosity helps to ensure that the children and their families have food
on the table. The distribution of the food essentials was facilitated
successfully in a Bayanihan spirit by the joint effort of LPM and PNP to reach
out the families.

PROJECT BEAM
BANANA, EGG AND MILK
One of the program that is being formulated by Cortes PNP is the
new project dubbed as PROJECT B.E.A.M. The acronym stands for
Banana, Egg And Milk. It is being formulated purposely to help the children
in the community acquire proper nutrition and help eliminate malnutrition in
the country.
This program formed part of the BARANGAYanihan project of the
PNP to intensify various forms of providing community assistance.
As a simple gesture of kindness and compassion to our young kids,
the PNP will provide them with Banana, Egg And Milk, a good source of
nutrition and rich in protein, vitamins and minerals that will help keep their
mind and body healthy and strong and keep them away from diseases. It
will be distributed to our children in the community.
Seeing smile on every faces of these children gives us the inspiration
to perform our duties well to achieve lasting peace and development. We
don’t only perform duties on the battlefield but serve the children through a
collaborative effort, cooperation and involvement of all personnel.
Likewise, conducted lecture on RA 7610, RA 9262, OSEC and other
related laws for the Protection of Women and Children. Also distributed
flyers and conducted Info drive and community dialogue on crime
prevention, KKDAT, ELCAC, Health and Safety protocols to lessen the risk
of COVID-19 community transmission.
PROJECT TAPAK
(Tsinelas Alay ng Pulis sa Ating Kabataan)
Making people happy does not have to be expensive. Most of the time, it
only takes a sincere heart and a helping hand to see it happen.
Children of Cortes, Bohol received a decent pair of slippers as part of a gift-
giving activity under the new project “PROJECT TAPAK” (Tsinelas Alay ng Pulis
sa Ating Kabataan) one of the best practice of Cortes MPS. The main purpose of
the PROJECT TAPAK is to reduce the sufferings of barefooted children,
especially the less privileged ones without a decent pair of footwear.
It is a common site to see children walking without even slippers. Many kids
end up with diseases that kill or seriously threaten their health because of a
disease or fungus they picked up while walking barefooted Providing pair of
slippers for children is an effective way to provide protection to their feet and
instill a sense of hope.
Giving away of slippers is symbolical for it represents the steps taken not
only by the police officers but by the people of the community to attain lasting
peace. Moreover, the gesture is a concrete expression of love and faith in which
the recipients of the project were made to feel that they are important part of the
community and that their presence is not only acknowledged but also given due
importance.
The more beneficiaries, the more we can encourage children to study hard
for their future at the end of the day they will prosper because we give them
hope.
We inspire children to work for their dreams.
