ABSTRACT
 In recent years, the world has been actively promoting the
development of wind power, photovoltaic, and other new energy.
 The inherent randomness and intermittency of wind power output
have led to the reduction of supply-side controllability and stability,
and the power system is facing severe challenges.
 Aiming at the irregular fluctuation of wind power output and the
restriction between the charge and discharge depth and service life
of hybrid energy storage equipment, a hierarchical control strategy
for a hybrid energy storage system based on improved GA-SVR
wind power prediction is proposed.

Page 3
 First of all, the short-term prediction of wind power output is
carried out using Support Vector Regression (SVR), and the
improved genetic algorithm is used for optimization.
 Finally, a simulation will be carried out on the proposed control
strategy. The simulation algorithm shows that the proposed method
can not only enhance the effective output of new energy but also
extend the service life of energy storage and ensure the safe and
stable operation of the power system.

INTRODUCTION
 Welded wire mesh generally consists of wires arranged in two
orthogonal directions and is prefabricated in a production line.
 Because of its economy, ease, and faster of construction as well
as better quality control, Welded mesh has been widely used in
buildings that Weld mesh can be a good substitute for the
conventional reinforcement and yielded excellent results both in
strength and ductility.
 This is because of a little is known about the structural
behaviour of RC Beams confined by Weld mesh as Shear
reinforcement.
 A total of 6 Beam specimens to made in this study. Page 5
 Five of the specimens with weld mesh at various longitudinal
section as transverse reinforcement, while the other specimen is
with conventional reinforcement.
 The parameters are to be investigated in this research included the
spacing and grid configuration of Weld mesh reinforcement, and
the distribution of longitudinal reinforcement.
 Tests of reinforced concrete beams indicate that the strength and
ductility of concrete are improved not only by longitudinal
reinforcement, but also shear reinforcement.

Problem Identification

 The voltage control problem is formulated using a similar

argument with the difference that now we do not use multiple
areas to execute an APPF.

 The hierarchies are defined by classifying the IBRs in the area

in order of a sensitivity index for reactive power balance. SGs
inside the contingent area are also counted in these hierarchies.

 APPF is run from one hierarchy to the next until the bus
voltage at the contingent load bus is regulated to a steady-state
value near the safe range.
Page 7
 Numerical examples are shown for both control problems using
a 33- bus, 3-area, 2-hierarchy power system model with multiple
SGs and IBRs.

 First, they show that APPF prevents underutilization of the

renewables compared to when regular power flow is used for
post-contingency setpoint dispatch.

 Second, they illustrate that combining APPF with AGC

guarantees a much faster settling time for the frequency
dynamics compared to when only AGC is used.

 Proposed System
 This paper proposes a hierarchical optimization algorithm to
jointly plan the capacity of RE power and ESS.
 The TSS method is adopted to generate the wind and PV
sequences while considering the time characteristics, as well as
generating multiple sets of RE output sequences for capacity
planning to increase the reliability of planning results.
 The ESS capacity is optimized in the lower level, the object
function is the minimum total investment cost while
comprehensively considering constraints, such as storage
charge- discharge characteristics, RE curtailment rates and so
Page 9
 This model is a mixed integer liner programming (MILP)
problem and the annual time sequence of RE is adopted as input.
 However, the planning horizon of the problem increases with the
larger size of the data, which causes increasingly difficulties in
solving the problem.
 Therefore, we rewrite the original lower level problem as a
consensus problem, which can be solved by the alternating
direction multiplier method in a parallel distribution manner.
 The upper level is used to optimize the capacity of the wind and
solar plants, and total renewable generation is used as the fitness
function to update the optimization direction of the search
elements. Page 10
 The golden section Fibonacci tree optimization (GSFTO)
algorithm is adopted to solve the problem, which avoids the
problem of the algorithm’s convergence ability decreasing near the
optimal solution and the iteration process taking much more time
in the long-term planning models.
 The simulation cases prove the rationality of the proposed model
and the feasibility of the algorithm.
 It has a guiding significance for the formulation of RE generation
and the ESS capacity in high renewable penetration systems.
