Capacity Building Strategy

for LGUs
For LGUs, the following basic capacity building strategies shall be implemented to
enable LGUs in effective devolution and localization of relevant POPDEV, AHD and
RPFP strategies and activities:

Identifying and designing POPDEV
strategies and interventions
• Based on the priority POPDEV issues and the objectives
and targets, LGUs will identify strategies, approaches and
activities
• Before the workshop, a presentation of the existing
interventions relevant to the identified issues shall be
presented
• LGU then identifies strategies that are relevant to their
context and existing interventions or gaps
• Leveraging on the types of strategies and activities to
be provided by POPCOM and implemented by LGUs
shall be based on POPCOM DTP

PRIORITY ISSUE: High incidence (200 cases) of pregnancies among adolescents in
2021

OBJECTIVE: To reduce incidence of pregnancies among adolescents who are minors


from 200 in 2021 to 100 in 2023
