Presentations our the most important thing to learn when you are in school because in the
future you might have to give a presentation on something in front of people.
water
Water is a very important to all life as all life needs water. Most range animals will
get water from streams or tubs that the farmer will fill with water. It is important to
make sure the water is not dirty so that the animal doesn't get sick, and die or not be
able to care for young. Dirty water may include water that has dirt, hay, or grass.

water is very important to the body. They also help regulate solutes throughout the

Requirements to be a swine research specialist
To be a swine research specialist you would swine or livestock experience, and an
advanced education in swine. This relates to the bigger picture because one day if i decide
to go into a career involving swine I know what some of the requirements are.
How to make a livestock handling facility
I learned how to make a livestock handling facility during our group project where
we had to make a handling facility where i learned that a handling facility requires a
small pen, a chute, a large holding pen, crowding pen, squeeze and headgate, and a
scale.
This relates to the bigger picture because if I decide to be a landscape architect and
one of my jobs is to design a handling facility I know what is needed for it.
Swine terminology
I learned these swine terminology
● Piglet is a baby pig
● Barrow is a castrated male pig
● Gilt female pig that has not had babies yet
● Sow female pig that has given birth
● Boar male pig
● Farrowing giving birth
● Weaning accustom to managing without something on which that have dependent on
● Gestation period fetal period from the time of conception until birth
