Operational

Amplifier(Op-amp)
 An operational amplifier is an
integrated circuit that can amplify
weak electric signals.
 An operational amplifier has two
input pins and one output pin. Its
basic role is to amplify and output
the voltage difference between
the two input pins.

PIN Description

 Pin1 – Offset Null

 Pin2 – Inverting Input
 Pin3 – Non Inverting Input
 Pin4 – -Vcc
 Pin5 – Offset Null
 Pin6 – Output Voltage
 Pin7 – +Vcc
 Pin8 – NC
Properties of Op-Amp
 Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR) is the ability of a
differential amplifier to not pass (reject) the portion of
the signal common to both the + and - inputs.
 The slew rate (SR) of an amplifier is the maximum rate of
change of voltage at its output. It is expressed in V/S (or,
more probably, V/μs).
 PSRR is the ratio of the change in input offset voltage with
respect to the change in power supply voltage. The standard
used in the datasheet is DC Variation. PSRR=20log(Power
Supply Variation)/(Input Offset Voltage Variation)[dB].
