What is Scouting?

It is all about building confidence and
self-esteem, learning important life skills and
leadership skills, team building, outdoor
adventure education, and fun. Scouts learn
how to make good choices and how to take
responsibility for their actions so that they
are prepared for their adult life as
independent person.

THE 5 SECTIONAL PROGRAM OF SCOUTING

KID-(Kabataan Imulat Diwa 4-6 years old) This

program is home and family centered and its
activities are non-competitive. It is the first
step in scouting trail which offers continuing
programs growth in ideals, highlighting useful
skills tht pre-scholers will enjoy doing. It is a
holistic combination of fun and learning.
KAB- (Kabataan Alay sa Bayan 6-9
years old) It is a program that is family
and school-centered, with activity that
are closely supervised byboth the
parents and the Kawan leaders. This
program consists of simple skills and
group activities that satisfy the boys
craving for action, adventure and fun.
Boy Scout- (aged 10-12 years old) It is a service
and outdoor-centered program that teaches young boys
to develop his leadership potentials and skills that are
taught are offered in the service for others.
Senior Scouts- ( 13-17 years old) It is a
dynamic program for teenagers alone largely in the
outdoors in small groups called “Crews” which
supplement the learning experiences in the home,school
and church. It is also a self educationprogram aimed at
the acquisition of knowledge and the development of
right values,attitudes, skills, and habits through
outdoor, social service and vocational activities.
Rover Scout – ( Boys and Girls aged 16-
24) It is a jolly brotherhood of open-air and
service with young men and women working
under a common ideal of service and under a
common bond of friendship and
understanding.
