 Definition
 Destruction of tissues or cells with sudden
or slowly causes interruption of blood
supply was carry oxygen to the cell.

PATHOPHYSIOLOGY

 Wound / Open wound


 Blockage and interruption of blood supply
and oxygen.
 Infection at the wound
 Inflammation slowly - edema.
 Redness – Blue /Pale – Black
 Sensation dysfunction
 Tissue death
CAUSES OF GANGREN.

1. Peripheral Artery Disease.


• Interruption of blood supply
• Chronic disease
2. Blood Clot – Blockage.
• Heart block
• foot ( Deep Vein Thrombosis ).
CAUSE OF GANGREN.

• Motor Vehicle Accident
• Injection.
