Adverb Frequency
we use adverbs of frequency to say how often we do things

Types of adverbs frequency


Adverbs of frequency are divided into two types based on the specification
of the time namely adverb of definite frequency dan adverb of indefinite
frequency.
Adverb of definite frequencyof contents

The use of the adverb of definite frequency by paying attention to the frequency of an event or events with
a specific time. This time statement must have explained when the event often occurs. Phrases that include
adverbs of definite frequency, namely hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, every, yearly, every second, twice a
year, once a minute, twice, once, or three time.

1. I open my phone every twenty minutes. (Saya membuka ponsel saya setiap
dua puluh menit)
2. I drink the medichine three time everyday. (Saya minum obat itu tiga kali
sehari)
3. This event is held annually. (Acara ini diadakan setiap tahun). 
4. My sister goes to her school library every Wednesday. (Adikku pergi ke
perpustakaan sekolahnya setiap hari Rabu)
5. I wear organic mask three times a week. (Aku menggunakan masker organic
tiga kali seminggu)
Adverb of indefinite frequency
The adverb of indefinite frequency does not need to know
a specific time. The description of the time in question is
the approximate time or time span that often occurs.
Determining the description of time or how often the event
occurs in this adverb of indefinite frequency can be used
as a percentage as follows:
• 100 persen (always, constantly, usually, normally,
frequently, regularly, often)
• 50 persen (sometimes, rarely, occasionally,
infrequently, seldom, hardly ever)
• 0 persen (never)
Example sentences:
• I always brush my teeth before i go to bed (Saya selalu
menyikat gigi sebelum tidur)
• I never come to Bali (Saya tidak pernah datang ke Bali)
• I Occasionally help my father on Sunday (Saya Kadang-
kadang membantu ayah saya pada hari Minggu)
• I normally eat two plates of rice when i have lunch
(Saya biasanya makan dua piring nasi saat makan siang)
• I often meet rare animals on the forest (Saya sering
bertemu hewan langka di hutan)
