• The world is advancing towards an era with infrastructure that has
been updated with more modern innovations; at the same time,
pollution is increasing, causing continual harm to all living things.
Internal combustion engines (ICEs) in conventional cars have a
significant impact on this problem, causing the greenhouse effect and
having a noteworthy emission rate [1]. An electric bicycle is a type of
electric vehicle based on a traditional bicycle to which an electric
motor has been added to help propel it [2]. It is an ecological and
urban means of transport and its source of energy is a battery. In the
20th century, electric bicycles began to play a more important role
because they were an economic and simple option for urban
transport problems and had environmental advantages [3], especially
Introduction in highly populated countries like China [4]. Environmentally
speaking, the emissions from gasoline-powered vehicles in
metropolitan areas are as follows: HC (Hydrocarbons) 3.57 g/km, CO
3.15 g/km, CO21.82 g/km, and NOx 2.29 g/km [5]. As an alternate
mode of transportation to the automobile, the electric bicycle
demonstrates that an average of 8.5 L of gasoline is saved for every
100 km, preventing this pollution. This manuscript's goal is to identify
the global trends in electric bicycle research, particularly the scientific
fields in which these trends are most concentrated. The major trends
in this area may then be found.
• Fossil fuels must be conserved, since they are on the verge of being
extinct. Due to energy and environmental concerns, as well as the
consideration of new paradigms for urban mobility and
transportation, interest in electrically powered, low weight e-vehicles
has surged in recent years. This study provides a complete electric
affordable hybrid cycle prototype that has been created to assist
commuters in traveling to their preferred destinations in an efficient
and viable method. The system also provides commuters with quick
access to transit, which adds to minimal traffic congestion. In recent
years the significance and development of electric vehicles have
Abstract rapidly increased as it is pollution-free and more reliable. The
prototype goes quicker than conventional forms of transportation
while consuming less energy and being more ecologically friendly,
according to data acquired from final results. The compact electric
cycle that is being presented was thoughtfully created to meet the
demand for urban travel and have at least a 50-70 km range. The
technology could be encouraged in order to improve energy
management on electric vehicles in the future as linked and electric
cycle become more popular.
Objectives

• We are trying to make a

portable battery for e-cycle.
• Designing an innovative e-
cycle to give high efficiency
and some extra components
to be added in it so it makes
more useful as e-cycle.
• Trying to add a roof which
will be a solar roof so if e-
cycle runs during day time
then battery might get
charged by solar panels.
Worked carried out till date
• Lithium battery: - we are using 36 v battery with 10A current as our hub motor is of 350 watt we
might use the ready-made battery or will make lithium ion battery of 3.7or higher value by
connecting in combination circuit which will reduce the cost of battery and our estimation of battery
is somewhat Rs 2000 to 2500.

• Cycle conversion kit: -

It contains the following materials are:-
a. Hub Motor 36v 250 watt
b. Sinewave Controller
c. Brakes
d. Throttle
e. PAS
Estimation of kit will come under Rs6500-8000
• Estimation: - So the total cost for converting normal cycle into e-cycle will be around Rs10,500.
excluding solar panels
