Poem
Don't feel offended if | don't look you in the eyes.
There is nothing about you that | despise.
i have nothing against you, I'm just scared.
I'm scared to look at you because I'm impaired.
I have Social Anxiety and it stops me from living.
I'l sit in my room and stay omitting i have Social Anxiety and it makes me scared of people.
Whenever I'm around people | feel I'm surrounded by pins and needles.
People scare me and | feel | can't trust anyone.
When | am around people | feel as if my chest is carrying a ton.| want to meet new people |
really do.
But my Social Anxiety keeps me in my room.
i have Social Anxiety and | have leaned to accept it.
And Social Anxiety is something | can't quit.
BOOK: People Smart: Developing Your
Interpersonal Intelligence
Melvin L. Silberman and Freda Hansburg wrote "People Smart: Developing
Your Interpersonal Intelligence," a book that was released in 1994.  The goal of
the book is to aid readers in growing their interpersonal intelligence by
offering useful tools and approaches for fostering effective communication,
teamwork, and relationship-building abilities.
Interpersonal intelligence, according to the authors, is the capacity to
comprehend and control one's own emotions as well as effectively interact
with others. They contend that fostering interpersonal intelligence is crucial
for success in both intimate and business settings.
Being people smart mean that you are good at these eight skills:-
1) Understanding people
2) Expressing yourself clearly
3) Asserting your needs
4) Exchanging feedback
5) Influencing Others
6) Resolving conflict
7)Being a team player
8) Shifting Gears

There are three sections to the book:

Understanding interpersonal intelligence in Part 1
The writers give an overview of interpersonal intelligence and discuss its
significance in various spheres of life in this section. Also, they provide a
model of interpersonal intelligence and talk about how it can be applied to
enhance interpersonal abilities such as teamwork and relationship
development.
Improving Interpersonal Intelligence in Part 2
The writers offer useful methods and strategies for growing interpersonal intelligence in this section.
They talk about things like active listening, empathy, resolving conflicts, negotiating, and team
building. To demonstrate how these methods can be used in various contexts, the authors present
case studies and examples from real-world scenarios.

Using interpersonal intelligence in Part 3

The authors describe how interpersonal intelligence can be used in various circumstances, including
the workplace, the family, and social settings, in this section. They offer advice on how to establish
solid bonds with people, handle tricky interactions, and cope with problematic personalities.

In general, "People Smart: Developing Your Interpersonal Intelligence" is a well-written and informative
book that offers readers helpful tools and approaches for enhancing their communication, teamwork,
and relationship-building abilities. The book is both interesting and educational because the writers
demonstrate how these strategies can be used in various scenarios using real-life examples and case
studies. Everyone wishing to improve their interpersonal intelligence and forge closer bonds with
others should read this book, in my opinion.
