INTRODUCTION
Many plants contain flavonoids, one of which is telang flowers. Telang flower
(Clitoria ternatea L.) is a plant whose all parts have benefits for humans (Marpaung,
2020). Telang flowers (Clitoria ternatea L.) contain flavonoids, glycoside flavonols,
anthocyanins, glycoside quercetin, glycoside kaempferol, glycoside mirisetin
(Kazuma, et al. , 2013), In addition, telang flowers also contain tannins, terpenoids
and steroids (Gupta, et al., 2010).
Telang flowers are commonly found in Indonesia, one of which is in Pangkep
Regency and the people have become accustomed to using the plant as traditional
medicine. According to Marpaung (2020) the benefits of telang flower extract are as

CONCLUSION
Based on the results of research that has been carried out, it can be
concluded that the ethanol extract of telang flowers (Clitoria ternatea L.) from
Pangkep Regency using the DPPH method has a strong category antioxidant
activity with an IC value of50 74.22 ppm.
