•A freight forwarder is a company that serves as an intermediary between


transportation companies that import and export goods and the businesses
that need them.

•Freight forwarders manage every aspect of the transportation process, from


storing goods before shipment to ensuring they make it through customs.

They do not handle the movement of the goods themselves but acts as an
agent in the logistics network

They are one who works at or is responsible for loading


and unloading a ship's cargo.

These workers unload cargo and transport it to and


from other ships or to a different location within the
port.

SHIPPING AGENT

Shipping agent is the one who with a local expert acts as a


representative of the owner of the ship and carries out all
essential duties and obligations required by the crew of the
ship.
These include ships' masters, officers and crew, customs,
immigration, port authorities, towage companies,
boatman and stevedores.
