    Childhood
    Born on February 17, 1972 Green eyes Billie Joe was the youngest of 6 children Everyone in his family had some sort of musical talent, but he was the one that stood out from the rest. At the age of 5 he recorded his first song, Look For Love. Billie got his first electric guitar when he was 11 from his father.

    At the age of 10 Billie Joe and Mike met in the school cafeteria. They became very close and played guitar together during sleepovers at each others houses. In 1987 they started the band Sweet Children with drummer John Kiffmeyer. When he was 18 Billie decided that he need to drop out of high school to follow his dream of playing music.

    Family
    His father died of cancer when he was 10, and his mother quickly remarried. Married wife Adrienne on July 2, 1994 Had son Joseph Marciano in March of 1995 Three years later they had son Jakob Danger September 1998 They live in Berkeley, CA.

    Green Day
    Green Day was started by Billie Joe and Mike Dirnt. They later added Tre Cool after their original drummer left for college. This punk bad was started in the late 1980s.
