:A reading from the Holy Gospel
according to St. Luke.
Response
:Glory to You, Oh Lord.
Lk 19:1-10

At that time Jesus came to Jericho and intended to pass through the town. Now a
man there named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax collector and also a wealthy man,
was seeking to see who Jesus was; but he could not see him because of the crowd,
for he was short in stature. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to
see Jesus, who was about to pass that way. When he reached the place, Jesus looked
up and said, “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.”
And he came down quickly and received him with joy. When they saw this, they
began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to stay at the house of a sinner.” But
Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I
shall give to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I shall repay it
four times over. And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house
because this man too is a descendant of Abraham. For the Son of Man has come to
seek and to save what was lost.”

conferred on us a royal priesthood,
– inspire us to offer you a continual sacrifice of
praise.

– that through the power of the Holy Spirit we
may live in you and you in us.

Assembly: Lord, our God and our Savior.

– to be with us today and to guide us.

Assembly: Lord, our God and our Savior.

– and filled with joy.

Assembly: Lord, our God and our Savior.

personal intentions. (Pause)
Let us pray!

Assembly: Lord, our God and our Savior.

Intercessions
Leader: God our Father,
hear our morning prayer
and let the radiance of your love
scatter the gloom of our hearts.
The light of heaven’s love has restored us to life:
free us from the desires that belong to darkness.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Assembly: Amen!
OUR
FATHER
Our Father, who art in
heaven, hallowed be Thy
name, Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it
is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass
against us; and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from
evil. Amen.
Prayer of St. Thomas Aquinas
Grant me, O Lord my God,
A mind to know you,
A heart to seek you,
Wisdom to find you,
Conduct pleasing to you,
Faithful perseverance in waiting for
you,
And a hope of finally embracing you.
Amen.
