GAYA PEMBELAJARAN

Menurut Kamus Dewan edisi keempat, gaya bermaksud cara atau kelakuan. Gaya bermaksud stail atau cara. Maka
gaya pembelajaran seseorang merujuk kepada stail atau cara pembelajarannya. Di bawah konteks psikologi
pendidikan, gaya pembelajaran ialah cara seseorang pelajar memberi tumpuan dan tindakan untuk memproses
maklumat untuk membentuk konsep dan prinsip.

Peterson (1971) mentakrifkan gaya pembelajaran sebagai pendekatan yang digemari oleh seseorang pelajar.

Dunn dan Dunn (1978), dalam buku Teaching Students Through Their Indivudial Learning Styles: A Practical
Approach, merujuk gaya pembelajaran sebagai cara seseorang individu menumpukan perhatiannya untuk memahami
dan mengingati sesuatu maklumat atau kemahiran baru.
