Efforts and Policies of LISP IV Against COVID 19

General Policy Statement:

Science Park of the Philippines, Inc. (SPPI), the owner, developer and operator
of Light Industry & Science Park IV (LISP IV) in Malvar, Batangas complies with
the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act and aligns with all the implementing guidelines
and policies of the Inter Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases and
extend all efforts to help prevent the spread of COVID 19 within LISP IV.

It shall therefore implement and enforce programs, policies and procedures upon
its employees, officers, contractors, locators and visitors in order to achieve this
goal. It also holds the right to impose punitive actions against those who will
violate these policies and procedures.

Below are said policies and procedures that SPPI will implement and enforce on
anyone who enters LISP IV. Its locators are likewise encouraged to make their
own policies, procedures and measures specific to their respective companies
and in accordance with law.

1) SPPI employees will no longer be Working From Home (WFH). They will
now report to LISP IV. However, since face to face meetings are highly
discouraged, we will have to do meetings thru phone calls, emails and
teleconferencing such as Zoom and MS Teams. You may contact us at 0917-

2) Continue Social Distancing Efforts:


a) Office lay out of LISP IV Administration Building shall have furniture and work stations
spaced not less than 1.5 meters.
b) The usual greeting gestures such as hand shakes are discouraged among LISP IV
employees and locators’ personnel. New ways of greetings may have to be implemented
such as verbal greetings and non-contact gestures.
c) We shall minimize face-to-face meetings and use it only as necessary. We will encourage
the use of “virtual meetings” apps such as Zoom and MS Teams. When face to face
meetings cannot be avoided, attendees should be kept to a minimum number of
participants and at short duration while maintaining physical distancing among the
participants.
d) All visitors who wish to meet with any LISP IV personnel shall be met at the modified
lounge area by the Admin Asst. Unless absolutely necessary, visitors will not be allowed
to enter the office area and will instead meet with an Admin personnel only at the Multi
Purpose Hall modified meeting area.

e) Markers as worker’s / visitor’s standing spots at the entrance gate shall be installed on
sidewalk pavements. Thus, workers and visitors are required to stand on their respective
markers while queueing at the entrance gate.
f) Social distancing shall also be observed on passengers boarded on every vehicle
entering LISP IV. Thus, the vehicle’s number of passengers shall not be more than 50%
of its capacity and that passengers inside the vehicles must be at least 1 meter away
from each other. Similarly, back riders of motorcycles shall not be allowed.

3) Safety practices against COVID 19 will continue to be implemented.


a) Frequent and proper hand washing is encouraged among employees, at home and at
work.
b) Alcohol-based disinfectants will continue to be placed at the reception counter for
everyone to use before entering the office.
c) Before entering the Administration Building, all employees and visitors must disinfect
their hands and footwears using sanitizers and footbath mats provided at the doors of the
Admin Building.
d) Frequently touch surfaces such as door handles and door knobs of the Admin Office’s
main door, pantry and CRs as well as surfaces of work desks shall be disinfected every
start of the hour by the assigned office janitor. Disinfection of Conference Room, Meeting
Room, and Multi Purpose Area shall be done before and after every use.
e) Disinfecting areas at LISP IV frequented by people such as gates, side walks will
continue to be implemented.
f) Guards shall let the drivers drop their licenses in a collection tray to avoid contact. Visitor
Passes shall likewise be handed to drivers by the guards through a different tray.
Touching of hands must be avoided between drivers and guards.
g) Gate guards shall wipe visitor passes with alcohol upon return by driver.
h) All pedestrians shall be required to step on the foot bath before entering LISP IV through
the pedestrian gate.

i) LISP IV employees shall be required everyday to accomplish the health symptoms


questionnaire and submit it to the Admin Assistant. Similarly, visitors shall also
accomplish this health symptoms questionnaire and submit to the Admin. Assistant
before business transaction at the Admin Office shall commence.
j) We will continue the contact tracing log sheet of visitors for future references. All visitors
shall be required to completely fill-up the contact tracing form before business transaction
at the Admin Office shall commence.
k) Eating together at the Administration Building during lunch and snacks will not be
allowed. It shall be done at the employee’s respective work stations.
l) All employees are encourage to bring their own food for lunch to prevent the interactions
with persons outside of LISP IV.
m) All items delivered to the Admin Building should be disinfected upon receipt.
n) Close interaction of Admin Assistant and ID applicants will be minimized as much as
possible. For this purpose, the following shall be done:
i. Scanned copy of the application form as well as the documentary requirements
shall be sent via email to the Admin Assistant for initial checking.
ii. Once checked and approved, the applicant will be advised thru SMS to proceed to
Admin Building to submit the hard copy of the application document. The applicant
shall place the documents in the drop box provided.

iii. Payment for ID application should be in exact amount. Touching of hands shall be
avoided during exchange of payment and receipt. The applicant will be asked to
place the payment in a collection tray, while the receipt will be handed to the
applicant in a different tray.
iv. Once the ID is ready for issuance, the applicant will be advised thru SMS to
immediately pick-up the IDs from Admin Building at the reception counter. There will
be no face-to-face interaction between two parties, hence the applicant shall
acknowledge the receipt of the ID by signing the form at the counter and by sending
a response to the SMS.
v. Validity of the issued ID will be extended to six (6) months, while the corresponding
fee will also be increased to Php40.00 per person.

4) Use of PPEs inside LISP IV is the new norm. Specifically, use of face masks
is mandatory.
a) We shall continue the implementation of “No Face Mask, No Entry” policy before entering
the Admin Office. We shall also inform in advance all the suppliers, contractors and
locators of the implementation of this policy.
b) All pedestrians, drivers and passengers shall be required to wear face masks of any kind
(N95, surgical, face shield, cloth, handkerchief, etc.) before they will be allowed inside
LISP IV gate and they must continue to wear them at all times while inside LISP IV.
c) Sharing of PPE is strictly prohibited.

5) Social gatherings such as ground breaking ceremonies, sales launches,


sportsfest, and the like are not allowed until COVID 19 is fully eradicated
worldwide.

6) In addition to the standard entry protocols for vehicles and pedestrians,


pedestrians as well as drivers and passenger/s of vehicles shall be subjected
to temperature checking. Those with temperature of 37.6 °C and above even
after 5 minutes rest, shall not be allowed to enter the premises and shall be
advised to seek medical help. The locator company of this personnel shall
also be informed.

7) Locators will not be allowed to use the Multi-Purpose Hall and the
Conference Room of the Administration Building until a COVID-19 vaccine is
available in the market or when COVID-19 is no longer a threat.

8) Locators will be required to create their own isolation areas within their
respective sites.

9) Locators will be advised to coordinate with the Barangay Health Official


regarding probable COVID-19 infection cases among its workers.

10) Policies regarding No Loitering, No Spitting, No Chewing Gum, and No


Smoking shall remain to be enforced strictly throughout the park. Violators
will be fined accordingly.
