3 INTRODUCTION
Organic waste is any material that is biodegradable and comes from either a
plant or an animal. Biodegradable waste is organic material that can be
broken into carbon dioxide, methane or simple organic molecules.
Examples of organic waste include green waste, food waste, food-soiled
paper, non-hazardous wood waste, green waste, and pruning waste.
According to the latest report the MSW(Municipal solid Waste) generated
in AP is 6898TPD and collected waste is 6829TPD, but the treated MSW is
1133TPD and landfilled is 205TPD.
As we observed that very less percent of solid waste is treated and most of
the solid waste is landfilled.
4 Effects due to accumulation solid waste

PCG = = 151.14 grams/per/day

From the above results we calculated the average amount of organic waste generated in
Madhurawada(20.44 Km^2).
• Total population = 85431
• Total generated solid waste in Madhurawada = 85431 x 151.14 = 12.91tons/day.
Recycling
